A spinal cord injury is anything that affects you from the top of your cervical spine to the sacrum, which is the bottom of your spine. They are particularly serious injuries, usually. All of your nerve roots come out of the spinal cord. You can have nerve conduction tests to determine the extent of the injury. Most of the time, they are pretty serious injuries, and can be extremely painful.
