What is my personal injury case worth?
The answer to that question depends on a multitude of facts and information that an attorney would need to give you an accurate answer. Starting with how the injury occurred, liability or fault, there’s a big difference between someone who makes an honest mistake and someone who’s been drinking and driving, or texting and driving. How the injury occurred, or why it occurred, is the first factor. The second one is the severity of the injury, the medical treatment, if it affects your ability to work. And then most importantly, is the long-term effect that it’s going to have on you. If in fact there is going to be a permanent long-term effect, then that case is what we would call serious or significant value. It would depend on all of that, and I don’t think anybody can accurately answer that question without having access or knowing most of the answers to those questions.
