Who can be held responsible in Florida for injuries or death to motorcycle operators and passengers?
First of all, and primarily, would be any other vehicle that’s involved. Usually, that vehicle violated the right-away of the motorcycle. In broad daylight cars will make left turns in front of motorcycle’s because they’re not looking for them, and people don’t perceive them.
However, they’re can also be additional people or corporations that may be responsible. For example, you may be driving through a construction area that’s not properly marked off and it causes confusion for the other driver. So that could be one. Another one could be the motorcycle itself, there may be something defective on the motorcycle that causes it to malfunction and causes a serious injury. So, those would primarily be the three scenarios where I think you would find people being responsible.
