What do you enjoy most about practicing law?
First and foremost is the challenge, representing the little guy against the big guys, kind of a David and Goliath thing. We’ve sued General Motors and succeeded for people in regard to defective products, where seat belts have come open and people have been paralyzed and being able to make a difference in the lives of people that need help and need justice and that’s the first and most important part. At this point now, that I’m coming up on four decades of practicing law, I enjoy helping and teaching other young trial lawyers how to be a trial lawyer. That’s how I develop my skill. Older lawyers willing to share and going to seminars and teaching me how to do things and now I’ve the opportunity to put something back in the system that nurtured me.
