Many people will result in something called keloid scarring which lumps up, and the more prominent the scarring and disfigurement, the larger the award. In other words if your scarring or disfigurement is covered by clothes, it’s not as serious an injury. If it’s on your face or your arms or things that are exposed, it goes up. If you’re a woman or a child, it’s more significant also.
