WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING CLAIMS FOR THIS CASE.

Breast implant makers are facing a new wave of potential lawsuits after women are alleging their breast implants are leaking dangerous fluids which have adversely affected their health.

The lawsuits allege that breast implant makers failed to comply with the mandated regulations by the FDA that breast implant makers must conduct proper studies of all of the health risks associated with their breast implants.

If you or a loved one have experienced health complications due to a leaking breast implant, then you may be legally entitled to receive financial compensation from a class action lawsuit.

breast implant ALCL lymphoma lawsuit

Many breast implants manufactured today contain a silicone gel that is made up of chemicals thatcan be toxic to the body.

Lawsuits have alleged that these dangerous chemicals are leaking either microscopically through the silicone membrane or in the event of a rupture, leaking out of the implant itself.

The health problems associated with the leaking implants could have a serious impact on a person’s quality of life.

Health Complications due to a leaking or ruptured breast implant may include:

  • Lymphoma
  • Lupus
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Autoimmune Disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Scleroderma (skin thickening which damages tissues)
  • Sjogren’s Disease (dryness in glands, such as the mouth, kidneys, eyes, and lungs)
  • Abnormal A-N-A Testing
  • Raynaud’s Syndrome (extreme skin pallor and coldness in hands and feet)
  • Muscle Pains – specifically around the breast where the fluid is leaking
  • Nausea – due to the toxic chemicals and heavy metals used in the gel
  • Skin rash – an allergic reaction to the chemicals and metals in the blood.
  • Extreme fatigue – Chemical imbalance with extra chemicals and metal in the blood

Lawsuits currently pending against breast implant makers

The first lawsuit was filed in California by a woman who alleged after receiving the breast implants, they started leaking and caused her to go through long periods of muscle pain and nausea.

Shorty after, another lawsuit was filed in Washington state and others began to follow.

The lawsuits all allege that Johnson & Johnson, the parent company of Mentor Worldwide LLC, failed to conduct proper studies to warn both patient and physicians of the potential risks involved with the breast implants.

This lawsuit comes after a 14-year ban on Silicone breast implants was lifted by the FDA.

In 1999, Dow Corning was ordered to pay $3.2 billion dollars for women who had a ruptured or leaking breast implant.

Mentor Worldwide LLC was preapproved to manufacture and sell their MemoryGel breast implants after agreeing to conduct 6 studies.

It has been reported that breast implant makers have failed to submit those studies to the FDA while pending lawsuits continue to build.
